Item Title
C-23 Approval of Petty Cash and Change Fund Checks for Cafeteria Managers, Food & Nutrition Service Coordinators and Food & Nutrition Services Director for the 2013-2014 School Year.

Issue/Rationale
Florida State Board of Education Administrative Rule 6A-1.057 authorizes the use of petty cash funds for small expenditures for the operation of schools.  The rule requires that each fund must be authorized by the School Board as to the amount and the specific position responsible for the fund.  Funds must be provided to make change on the serving line and to purchase incidental items which fall under the amount for which purchase orders are issued.

Recommended Action
The Superintendent recommends approval.

Financial Impact
There is no direct financial effect on the budgets by the approval of the petty cash and change funds.
